Alexandra Lattey
About
Alexandra lives in New Zealand and divides her time between working, writing and running a 12 acre property. To date, she has planted upwards of a thousand trees and hedges, hindered by her appaloosa who tries her best to eat them, her two epic dogs who inevitably dig them up and her multiple Maine Coons who try and use them as scratching posts. The chickens, aka 'The Airborne Division', entertain themselves by trying to eat the apples in her orchard and decimating the vegetable garden. All in all, she is slowly making progress despite the animals best intentions.

Where do the stories come from....
Alexandra started writing Lupa largely because she loved the concept of shapeshifting into a wolf but at the same time wasn't satisfied with the generic narrative of a creature change. In all the old stories the change was scary, horrific and probably painful but why couldn't it have been a thing of elegance, grace and mystery? Why can't it simply be a quick step into another space?
Romance has also always played a huge part in her delving into the arts. First as a dancer, then acting, musical theatre and now photography. So many romance novels test the characters feelings for each other and that is the focus of the stories. She wanted something different. She wanted to create a situation where once the lovers were together, there was absolutely no doubt they were meant to be. It was only the situations they were put in that tested them, not the relationship itself.
Is it possible to find an all encompassing love like that? Maybe it can only exist in books, but she would like to think so. If you don't stop looking.....
Book 2 of the Winter Soul series is on the way....
